Disney’s Ohana Review

When my husband and I go to Disney we always pick a few new restaurants to make a reservation at and try while we’re there! One of our reservations we were most excited about was Ohana at the Polynesian Resort. We’d spent the day at Magic Kingdom and then came back to our resort at Caribbean Beach Resort to swim and relax by the pool. We took an Uber from our resort that cost about 3$ and dropped us off right in front of the resort. The grounds alone at the Polynesian are so beautiful so we spent a little bit of time walking around the resort before we were seated for dinner. We made our reservation for 8:30 pm so that we could see the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom from our table in the restaurant and it was the most magical part of our trip!

Dinner at Ohana is family style (Ohana means family!) and they start out by bringing you out the most amazing pineapple coconut bread. So good! Then they bring out a light mixed greens salad with Lilikoi dressing which tastes citrusy and fresh. For the main entree they bring out skewers with different choices such as pork dumplings tossed in a garlic ginger sauce, teriyaki chicken, steak, shrimp, and honey coriander chicken wings. It was a TON of food but it was all sooo amazing. You also get noodles and stir fried vegetables with your meat. If you run out of something or like one thing more than another they’ll always bring you more! If you have a peanut allergy let them know when you’re seated and they won’t bring out the peanut sauce and will discuss options with you.

If you’ve saved room for the best part lastly they will bring out bread pudding a la mode with a delicious banana caramel sauce. My husband asked for extra ice-cream because why not? I had to have a few bites even though I was so full because this was seriously the best dessert ever. I still dream about it!

Overall we definitely will be back to Ohana again for dinner we found it reasonable it was 60$ an adult but everything they bring out was included in that price. We seriously never had that much food in our lives. This would be really fun to go to with a big group of people as well since it is family style.

Have any of you been to Ohana? We’ve done breakfast in the past but dinner was a whole different experience! Let me know how your experiences were!
